Professional Membership / SHRM Member - $170.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Professional members may vote and hold office. To be eligible for professional membership/SHRM Member, individuals must be a member of SHRM and meet one of five criteria:
1. Have at least three (3) years of exempt-level human resources experience.
2. Be certified by SHRM (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) or HRCI as a PHR or SPHR.
3. Have three years experience as a faculty member in human resources or its related specialties at an accredited college or university.
4. Be a full time consultant with at least three (3) years experience as a practitioner in human resources.
5. Attorneys who counsel and advise management clients exclusively on matters relating to the human resource profession.
Any person who acts as a third party representative for employees (e.g. attorney, union representative) is ineligible for membership.

Professional Membership / Non-SHRM Member - $185.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Professional members may vote and hold office. To be eligible for professional membership, individuals must meet one of five criteria:
1. Have at least three (3) years of exempt-level human resources experience.
2. Be certified by SHRM (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) or HRCI as a PHR or SPHR.

Associate Membership / SHRM Member - $170.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Unless otherwise ineligible, any person whose interest, activity or accomplishment in the human resources field is such that affiliation with the Association will be of mutual benefit to both the individual and the regular membership. An associate member is entitled to all privileges of membership except those of voting and holding office.

Associate Membership / Non-SHRM Member - $185.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Unless otherwise ineligible, any person whose interest, activity or accomplishment in the human resources field is such that affiliation with the Association will be of mutual benefit to both the individual and the regular membership. Student Membership - $25.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments 1. Working adults enrolled in an HRMIR degree program and taking six credits or more.
2. Students enrolled full time in an HRMIR degree program.
A student member is entitled to all privileges of Professional membership except those of holding office.

Graduate Membership - $75.00 (USD) Subscription period: Unlimited 1. Adults who have graduated from an HRMIR degree program and who have not yet found HR-related employment.
2. Graduate membership will be recognized the first year post graduation only.
A graduate member is entitled to all privileges of Professional membership except those of holding office.
