Overview of EEOC
Patrick & Gregory will speak about EEOC Enforcement and the legal process. They will then speak about the advantages of electing to mediate a charge.

Presenters Bio:
PATRICK J. MALLEY
Pat began his career with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in 1991 as an Investigator in the Commission’s Washington, D.C., Field Office. However, being a native of western Pennsylvania, he elected to transfer the EEOC’s Pittsburgh Area Office in 1993. He was promoted to the position of Mediator in 2021. Pat holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA.
Gregory L. Nanney
Greg entered Federal Service in August of 1990, accepting a position as an Investigator with the Office of Personnel Management, Office of Federal Investigations. During his time with OPM, he worked on assignment with the Department of Energy as a Personnel Security Specialist. In April of 1994, Greg joined the Pittsburgh Area Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Part of his time with the Commission has been spent as a Hybrid Investigator, focusing on both charge investigation and the intake of new complaints. Greg has performed a variety of functions in the Pittsburgh Area Office. From January 2016-May 2018, Greg held the position of Intake Supervisor. Greg then accepted a promotion to Enforcement Supervisor in May 2018, remaining in this position through the present time. He has been the recipient of several Sustained Performance Awards and the Commission’s CORE Award for his participation and teamwork during a substantial training project. Greg spent his college years attending and graduating from Indiana University of PA.
