About Dave Jones, DTM
Dave Jones, DTM, is an accomplished leader, technologist, and communicator with over 28 years of experience in Product Management and Marketing. A Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) and active member of Johnstown Toastmasters since 2008, Dave has served in several leadership roles, including as past Area Director and past Division Director for Toastmasters International, District 13.
Dave’s interest in artificial intelligence (AI) began during his 10-year service in the U.S. Army as a Military Intelligence Russian Translator, including deployment during Desert Storm. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from Bellevue University (Bellevue, Nebraska) and completed training in Radiologic Technology at the Washington Hospital School for Radiologic Science (Washington, Pennsylvania), earning his registration as a Registered Technologist in Radiologic Technology.
Dave has completed advanced AI training through Microsoft and a Department of Defense contractor, including courses on Scaling AI, Ethical Application of AI, Prompt Engineering, and Facial Recognition. His expertise focuses on applying AI for leadership, communication, and marketing, emphasizing practical, ethical approaches.
Recently, Dave presented “Leveraging AI as a Leader and Speaker” to Toastmasters District 13, receiving high praise. In January 2025, he will deliver a similar presentation, “Leveraging AI for Communication and Leadership,” to District 71, encompassing Toastmasters clubs in northern Florida, Alabama, and Missouri.
Residing in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Mary—his “Prom Date For Life”—and their adult children, Dave is a dynamic speaker passionate about equipping professionals to harness AI effectively and responsibly.
